Bandana iluminada
The lightweight, breathable group piece: a standard 22 x 22 in bandana
$48 USD
For pro cheer and dance directors and game-entertainment staff: our light-up bandanas, LED harnesses and LED pom poms go over the uniform your team already wears, so the squad glows in one color for lights-out intros and timeouts. Poms are $120 a pair on 10+ pairs; email info@neoncowboys.com with “Team order” in the subject for everything else.
What can a pro team add to the uniform it already has?

A pro uniform is set for the season. It carries the team colors, it was fitted to every dancer, and changing it mid-season is a big job. Light-up accessories give the game-entertainment staff a new look without touching the uniform. Our pieces for pro cheer and dance teams:
- Light-up bandana: a standard 22 x 22 in bandana in solid, twinkle or flash, with 10+ hours on replaceable coin cells. Lightweight and breathable, and the most affordable piece for a full squad.
- LED Halter Harness: LEDs down every line of a triangle-cut halter bralette, over a crop top or bodysuit.
- Full LED Body Harness: color-changing LEDs from the choker down, over a catsuit.
- LED Fringe Sequin Jacket: LED fringe front and back, for intros and warm-ups.
- Light-up LED pom poms: the diodes are built into the pom, with color by remote.
Every piece sits on top of the uniform, so its colors and branding stay as they are. Pro dancers are adults, so the bandana’s coin cells are easy to manage: keep spares with the team manager.
Lights-out moments are where the layer pays off
Arenas build whole segments around the dark. Before the Chicago Bulls’ first home game of the 2016–17 season, the entire arena went dark except for the court, and the show ended with the starting lineup introduction (source: PLSN). In a moment like that, a uniform without light disappears; a squad in light-up layers becomes part of the show.
Routines are short, so the light has to be right the first time. When The New York Times profiled the Knicks City Dancers and the Brooklynettes, each team had 20 dancers, and the Knicks City Dancers had moved from 50-second routines to 90-second numbers in 2014 (source: The New York Times via WRAL). Set the color before the timeout, not during it.
Teams are adding dance squads, too. In June 2026 the San Antonio Spurs said they are bringing back the Silver Dancers for the 2026–27 NBA season, eight years after the team was eliminated in 2018 (source: KSAT). A new squad needs a uniform, and light-up layers give it a lights-out look from the first home game.
Matching the light-up layer to the uniform
| Uniform the team wears | Light-up layer | Light setting |
|---|---|---|
| Crop top with shorts or a skirt | LED Halter Harness or light-up bandana | One team color, steady |
| Catsuit, bodysuit or unitard | Full LED Body Harness | Color-changing, or sound-reactive with the music |
| Intro or warm-up look | LED Fringe Sequin Jacket | One solid color by remote, brightness up |
| Any uniform, any routine | Light-up LED pom poms | Team colors by remote, the whole squad together |
Pick one layer for the whole squad and one color for the night. A full roster in light-up bandanas and LED poms is the most affordable full-squad look; harnesses on the front line add depth to a featured routine.
Harness looks over a catsuit or crop top

Pro football cheer teams wear catsuits and bodysuits on some game days, and pro dance teams often perform in a crop top with shorts. A harness turns either uniform into a lit look:
- Over a catsuit: the Full LED Body Harness, glossy black straps and silver O-rings with color-changing LEDs from the choker down.
- Over a crop top or bodysuit: the LED Halter Harness, a triangle-cut halter bralette with LEDs down every line.
- A quick-fit option: our LED Harness adjusts to 34 to 44 in chests and runs any color or pattern by remote.
Our harnesses have a sound-reactive mode, so the light can pulse with the arena music during a timeout routine. The body and halter harnesses are handmade for your team; send your event date and we will tell you plainly what fits. For the catsuit look in depth, see the catsuit and LED harness guide for pro cheer and dance.

How does a pro team order for a full roster?
Pro rosters run large, so order like a production, not a shopping cart:
- Name one contact, usually the team director or the game-entertainment manager, and copy whoever signs the budget.
- Count the roster, plus alternates.
- Collect sizes for harnesses and any made-to-measure pieces.
- Pick colors: team colors for most nights, and the theme colors you will switch to.
- Send your event dates, starting with the first lights-out game.
LED pom poms are the one piece with a published team rate: $120 a pair on 10 or more pairs. Each pom weighs 7 oz, runs 3 to 4 hours per charge (white and rainbow modes drain faster), and changes color by remote so the whole squad switches together. The Purdue Golduster Dance Team ordered 24 pairs in September 2026. Every other piece on this page gets team pricing by email.

Metallic streamers with LEDs built into the pom, a rechargeable pack, and one remote that changes the whole team’s color at once.

Theme nights without a new uniform
Theme nights are where light-up accessories pay off. One set of LED poms switches from team colors to a cause color by remote, and bandanas in a second color give the squad a new look for a western or heritage night. For ideas by theme, see theme night ideas for pro games and lights-out intro ideas.

Frequently asked questions
Do light-up accessories replace our uniform?
No. They go over it. Bandanas, harnesses, jackets and poms add light while the uniform keeps your team colors and branding.
Which light-up piece is the most affordable for a full squad?
The light-up bandana: lightweight and breathable, with 10+ hours on replaceable coin cells, in eight colors.
Can the whole squad switch color together?
With our LED pom poms, yes: color changes by remote so the squad switches together. Bandanas come in eight colors, so order one color for the whole roster.
How long do the lights last in a game?
Bandanas run 10+ hours on coin cells, the jacket 4+ hours on its power bank, and LED poms 3 to 4 hours per charge. Charge or swap batteries before every game.
