Light-Up LED Pom Poms
Metallic streamers with LEDs built into the pom, a rechargeable pack, and one remote that changes the whole team’s color at once.
$145 USD per pair
Few MLB clubs have cheerleaders, but more run dance teams. Sports Illustrated counted five official dance teams besides the Twins’ new Rally Dancers: the Mets’ Queens Crew, the Brewers’ Dance Crew, the Astros’ Shooting Stars, the Rangers’ Six Shooters and the Braves’ Tomahawk Team, with spirit squads in Cincinnati and Miami. They dance before first pitch, between innings and on the dugouts. At night games and during ballpark light shows, light-up poms are what reads from the upper deck. Our team rate is $120 a pair on 10 or more pairs.
Which MLB teams have dance teams?

| New York Mets | Queens Crew | Co-ed, 19 members, hip-hop, before games and between innings (2024) |
| Milwaukee Brewers | Dance Crew | Debuted 2026 on the plaza stage, tailgate lots, dugouts and concourses |
| Houston Astros | Shooting Stars | 20 women in 2017, also handing out ticket upgrades and merchandise |
| Texas Rangers | Six Shooters | On the field 30 minutes before first pitch, then on the dugouts (2023) |

Sports Illustrated also notes the Reds and Marlins run spirit squads that lead promotions and dance, and the Diamondbacks’ in-game entertainment crew, the Rally-backs, got new red-and-teal uniforms in 2024 (source: Phoenix New Times). Counts depend on what you call a dance team.
Do baseball teams have cheerleaders?
Not in the football sense. The public searches for baseball cheerleaders, but the clubs post auditions for dance teams and crews, and the job mixes dancing with promotions: T-shirt tosses, giveaways and fan contests. The Rangers’ Six Shooters slingshot T-shirts into the stands from the field before performing on the dugouts (source: KTBS). The Brewers promise rally moments and postgame celebrations from theirs (source: Milwaukee Brewers release). For school squads at spring games, see softball and baseball cheer.
Where does a baseball dance team perform?
| Spot | When | What the poms have to do |
|---|---|---|
| On the field | Before first pitch | Fill a big space for a crowd still finding seats |
| Dugout roofs | Between innings | Read from the upper deck in a short break |
| Concourses and plaza stages | Pregame and in-game | Look good up close and on fans’ phones |
| Postgame celebrations | After a win | Carry the colour of the moment |
The dugout roof is the signature spot: close to the field and in view of most of the seats.
Where do light-up poms fit at a ballpark?
Ballparks are adding show lighting. Chase Field installed 482 LED lights in 2024, 48 of them able to change colour, to enhance in-game engagement and on-field celebrations (source: Cronkite News). For 2025 the Phillies announced a custom light show after every home run at Citizens Bank Park, lighting the ballpark from foul pole to foul pole (source: DownBeach).
A dance team on the dugout roof can join that moment: poms set to the light-show colour by remote, switching on the same cue. Field lights are aimed at the field, so the dugout roof, the concourse and the stands sit in spill light that drops off fast away from the field. Reflective poms drop off with it; light-up poms do not. See floodlights vs a dark arena.
What does a first-season dance team need to order?
New teams are still launching: the Twins’ Rally Dancers and the Brewers’ Dance Crew both started in 2026 (sources: Sports Illustrated, Milwaukee Brewers release). A first-season order list:
- Uniforms that work in summer heat and on a dugout roof.
- One matched pom set for the whole roster, plus spares.
- A colour plan: team colours, the light-show colour, and theme nights.
- A charging routine before every home game.
- Giveaway items for the T-shirt and prize moments.
How many pairs does a baseball dance team need, and what does it cost?
At our team rate of $120 a pair on 10 or more pairs:
| Group | Pairs | Cost at the team rate |
|---|---|---|
| Crew of 8 | 10 | $1,200 |
| Crew of 16 | 18 | $2,160 |
| Co-ed crew of 19 | 21 | $2,520 |
Pair counts include two spares. If the poms live at the ballpark and dancers rotate, order for the largest nightly lineup plus spares; if each dancer keeps a pair, order for the roster.
Who runs what on the day?
| Role | Job |
|---|---|
| Entertainment or game presentation | Routines, lighting cues and the video board |
| Dance team coach | Choreography and the colour change |
| Promotions | T-shirt tosses, giveaways and contests |
| Ballpark operations | The light-show cue after home runs and wins |
| Captain | The remote |
Write the light-show cue and the pom colour on the same line of the in-game script.
