Cheer and dance squads almost always buy poms in bulk, because per-pair pricing improves with quantity and every performer needs a matching pair. For a team order you need four things: squad size in pairs (not poms), your exact team colours, your event or season start date, and enough lead time — made-to-order poms take about 4–6 weeks, so order well before your first performance.
Four things to have ready before you request a quote
- Quantity in pairs. One pair equals two poms — one per hand, one performer. A 24-person squad needs 24 pairs, not 12.
- Your exact team colours, and how you want them split.
- Your date. First game, competition, or season start.
- Who is paying. Booster club, athletic department, school PO, or parent split — this changes what paperwork you need.
Lead time is the thing squads get wrong
The most common bulk-order mistake is ordering too late. Anything made to order in custom colours needs production time — ours ship in about 4–6 weeks. Work backwards from your first performance, not from when the budget clears.
If you are buying for a competition season, order during the off-season. If you are buying for football, order in spring or early summer.
How bulk pricing works
Per-pair price improves as quantity goes up. On our LED poms, orders of 10 or more pairs also unlock custom colour mixes in your exact team colours, with the breakdown confirmed with you before production begins.
List price is $145 per pair; squad pricing is quoted based on quantity, colours and timing.
Purchase orders, booster clubs and school budgets
Team orders rarely go through a normal checkout. Most squads need a written quote to take to a booster club or athletic director, an invoice matching a school purchase order, and a firm delivery date to commit. Ask for all three up front rather than after approval — it saves a round trip.
