LED Pom Poms — Team Order
Metallic streamers with LEDs built into the pom, a rechargeable pack, and one remote that changes the whole team’s color at once.
$120 USD per pair · 10-pair minimum
For dance, drill, cheer and band directors entering a parade of lights: our LED pom poms light the whole line and switch color together on one remote, so your unit reads from the curb between lit floats. Each pom is 7 oz on rechargeable packs. Team pricing is $120 a pair on 10 or more pairs.
Which night parades can a dance team or drill team enter?

In the dark, an unlit unit disappears between two lit floats; a lit line is the one the crowd films. These well-known US night parades take dance teams, drill teams, cheer squads and bands. Four step off on Saturday, December 5, 2026.

The Fiesta Flambeau Parade Association calls its parade “America’s Largest Illuminated Night Parade,” seen by about 800,000 street spectators (source: Fiesta Flambeau Parade Association 2027 parade policies). Other sources: Fiesta San Antonio parade and ticket guide, Seafair 2027 parade application, GM Financial Parade of Lights, 2026 APS Electric Light Parade entry guide, Downtown Denver Partnership, City of Chandler, City of Albuquerque Arts & Culture. Lighting rules your unit has to meet
A parade of lights, a torchlight parade, an electric light parade or a lighted Christmas parade all ask the same thing of a marching unit: bring your own light.
- Phoenix: in a Performance Group entry, “all members, handheld accessories, headpieces, etc.” must be lit, outlined or accented by light products. Bands too, instruments included (source: 2026 APS Electric Light Parade entry guide).
- Fiesta Flambeau: an entry with no illumination could be removed. The association recommends at least 12 battery-operated LED mini-lights per person, does not accept glow sticks, and judges lighting and crowd reaction along the route (source: Fiesta Flambeau Parade Association 2027 parade policies).
- Chandler: walking groups need at least 100 lights per participant, with batteries and packs concealed within the costume (source: Chandler entrant information).
- Fort Worth: “the more imaginative your use of lights and spectacle, the higher your chance of acceptance” (source: GM Financial Parade of Lights).
Light-up poms put that light in every performer’s hands. The LEDs are built into the pom itself, not one light in the handle, so each pom reads as a full ball of light from the curb. Ask your organizer how lit handheld props count toward a per-person minimum. For a dance or majorette line, the costume can carry light too: our LED fringe sequin bodysuit changes color by remote to match.

One remote, one color change the crowd films

Night parades keep moving. Fiesta Flambeau entries may not stop to perform, Phoenix bands may not stop or reverse march, and Seafair asks marching units to keep forward motion and spacing (sources: Fiesta Flambeau Parade Association 2027 parade policies, 2026 APS Electric Light Parade entry guide, Seafair 2027 parade application). So the moment travels with you: a whole line switching color on the same count, at walking pace, is the clip the crowd and other paraders post.
- Pick a base color: your school or team color for most of the route.
- Pick one change on a music hit, repeated every block or saved for the judges and TV cameras. Chandler’s judges look for “advanced use of lights to music or choreographed program” (source: City of Chandler).
- Give the remote to one person, the director or a captain, so the whole line switches together.
- Try split sets: raised pom one color, low pom another.
Match the theme too: Fiesta Flambeau’s 2027 theme is “Cosmic Nights – A Universe of Lights” and Phoenix’s 2026 theme is “Power the City with Lights” (sources: Fiesta Flambeau Parade Association 2027 parade policies, 2026 APS Electric Light Parade entry guide).
Battery plan for a long route

Each pom runs 3 to 4 hours per charge on its rechargeable pack. White and rainbow modes drain the battery faster. The march is often the short part: judging and line-up keep you lit well before step-off.
| Parade | Route | Lights-on time to plan |
|---|---|---|
| APS Electric Light Parade, Phoenix | About 2.3 miles; about 60 minutes to the end | Lit and ready at 6:50 p.m. for a 7 p.m. start |
| Fiesta Flambeau, San Antonio | 3.1 miles in 2026 | Vanguard 7:15 p.m., parade 7:45 p.m. in 2027 |
| 9NEWS Parade of Lights, Denver | About two miles in 2024, Civic Center to 14th Street and Glenarm Place | Ask the organizer for your line-up time |
| Chandler Parade of Lights | About three-quarters of a mile | Lit for judging at 5:15 p.m.; parade 6:45 to 8 p.m. |

- Charge fully before step-off, indoors, the afternoon of the parade.
- Know your route length, then add judging and line-up to get your total lights-on time.
- Run a team color, not white or rainbow, on a long route. Save rainbow for one short moment.
- Switch off while you wait in line-up, then on again for judging and step-off.
- Carry two spare pairs with a chaperone on the route.
At 7 oz per pom, they stay comfortable over a two-mile march. For cold December nights, see lighted Christmas parade entries for charging in the cold.

Light-Up LED Pom Poms
Metallic streamers with LEDs built into the pom, a rechargeable pack, and one remote that changes the whole team’s color at once.
$145 USD per pair
How many pairs does a parade unit need?
At our team rate of $120 a pair on 10 or more pairs:
| Group | Pairs | Cost at the team rate |
|---|---|---|
| Dance line of 12 | 14 | $1,680 |
| Fiesta Flambeau walking group of 25 | 27 | $3,240 |
| Drill team of 40 | 42 | $5,040 |
Pair counts include two spares. To see the cost per season, divide the total by the number of seasons your program plans to use the set: a 27-pair set at $3,240 is $1,080 a season over three seasons. The same set covers football, basketball and parade season, because the color changes by remote.
Why directors treat the set as an investment the squad passes down
A parade set is not a one-night prop. It is handed from one class to the next, season after season, and it has to match on every member.
- LEDs built into the pom itself, not one light in the handle, so the whole pom glows.
- Full metallic streamers, so they still look like performance poms with the lights off.
- Rechargeable packs, so there is no box of AAA batteries to buy before every parade.
- One remote changes the whole line’s color together: school colors in the fall, holiday colors in December, the parade theme in spring.
The Purdue Golduster Dance Team, the dance line of the Purdue “All-American” Marching Band, ordered 24 pairs from us in September 2026. More on how the set is built: LED pom poms for cheer and dance teams.

What to bring and wear to a night parade
For families, fans and chaperones:
- Arrive early. In Phoenix, viewing spots are first-come, first-served, spectators often arrive hours early, and the parade runs rain or shine (source: City of Phoenix).
- Book a seat if you want one. Fiesta San Antonio lists bleacher seats, street chairs and VIP tickets for the 2027 Fiesta Flambeau; Denver sells grandstand and VIP tickets; Seafair sells reserved seating zones (sources: Fiesta San Antonio parade and ticket guide, Downtown Denver Partnership, Seafair).
- Dress in layers for a December holiday parade, with a warm hat. The National Weather Service notes that mittens are better than gloves (source: National Weather Service).
- Wear light, so your group is easy to find in a dark crowd: LED face stickers in stars, hearts or lightning.
The stickers run on a CR2032 coin battery, so hand them to adults and older students.

How do you get Fiesta Flambeau Parade tickets?

When are the Denver and Phoenix parades of lights in 2026?
Both are on Saturday, December 5, 2026: the 52nd 9NEWS Parade of Lights in downtown Denver and the 39th APS Electric Light Parade in Phoenix, which starts at 7 p.m.
Can a dance team or drill team march in a parade of lights?
Yes. Phoenix has a Performance Group category for dancers, twirling groups and drill teams, Seafair has a Drill Teams category, and Fort Worth invites schools, marching bands and competitive dance troupes. Phoenix asks that every member and handheld accessory be lit.
