Light-Up LED Pom Poms
Metallic streamers with LEDs built into the pom, a rechargeable pack, and one remote that changes the whole team’s color at once.
$145 USD per pair
For high school dance and drill team directors running a feeder clinic: our LED pom poms put your team in light for the halftime finale, every pom changing color together by one remote, and that is the clip parents film and share. Team pricing is $120 a pair on 10 or more pairs.
How does a feeder dance clinic pay for next season’s poms?

A feeder clinic is a dance team fundraiser with a recruiting job attached. The high school team teaches younger dancers a short routine on a Saturday, the kids perform it with the team at a home game, and whatever is left after shirts and the gym goes to the team. In 2018, Ponte Vedra High School’s Splash Dance Team billed its kindergarten-through-eighth-grade clinic as a “dance clinic fundraiser”: $50 covered instruction, facility fees and a T-shirt worn at the clinic and at halftime of a junior varsity football game (source: The Ponte Vedra Recorder). The Benilde-St. Margaret’s School dance team charged $40 a dancer, shirt and snack included, and its student paper reported in 2013 that the clinic raises money for the team’s costumes, accessories and other performance essentials (source: The Knight Errant).
Poms belong on that list. A set of light-up poms is the part of next season’s look that the clinic’s own finale shows off, and one full clinic can cover most of the order.
Clinic fees that cover a pom order
Here is the math with the fees real clinics charge, $40, $50 and $60 a dancer, against our team rate of $120 a pair:
| Clinic size and fee | Raised | Shirts, snacks and gym | Left for the team | Pairs at $120 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 30 dancers at $40 | $1,200 | $300 ($10 a dancer) | $900 | 7 pairs |
| 50 dancers at $50 | $2,500 | $500 ($10 a dancer) | $2,000 | 16 pairs |
| 80 dancers at $60 | $4,800 | $1,000 ($10 a dancer plus $200 facility time) | $3,800 | 31 pairs |
The $10 a dancer for a shirt and snack and the $200 facility line are placeholders; use your vendor’s quote and your district’s facility fee. A clinic of 50 at $50 covers 16 pairs, enough for a team of 14 with two spares. Our team rate starts at 10 pairs, so a small first clinic goes toward the order rather than paying for all of it, and the booster club tops up the rest.
What do high school dance clinics charge and include?
| Host | Who it’s for | Fee and what it includes | The performance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jersey Village High School Gold Dusters, Sparks Dance Clinic, Oct. 31, 2026 | Grades K–5 and 6–8 | $60, T-shirt included when paid by Oct. 16 | With the Gold Dusters at the Nov. 6 football game, 7 p.m., Pridgeon Stadium |
| Berkner High School Bandoleras | Grades K–8 | $35 for three hours of instruction, a snack and a T-shirt; $40 adds a game-day swag bag | Pre-game field time at a Friday game |
| Cabot High School Dance Team, Little Panther clinic, 2026 | Pre-K to 6th grade | $30 for the clinic, the child’s game admission and a performance T-shirt | Pregame at the Sept. 18 football game |
| Ponte Vedra High School Splash, 2018 | Kindergarten to 8th grade | $50 for instruction, facility fees and a T-shirt | Halftime of a junior varsity football game |
Two patterns repeat: the shirt is in the fee, and the payoff is a performance with the team at a home game. Jersey Village runs its middle schoolers as their own grade 6–8 group, the closest thing to a tryout preview, and Berkner offers financial assistance to families who qualify (sources: Cy-Fair ISD: Jersey Village Gold Dusters Sparks Dance Clinic, Berkner High School, Cabot Public Schools, The Ponte Vedra Recorder).
The halftime finale parents film
Parents in the stands film the finale. That clip is the advertising for next year’s clinic, so stage it for the phone:
- Team in front, light on. The high school dancers frame the younger ones with their poms lit in team colors.
- One color change on a count. One person holds the remote and switches every pom together on the last eight-count, the moment parents replay.
- Ask the athletic director what can go dark. The stands and the track are darker than the field at a night game; under full stadium lights the metallic streamers still read as poms, and in the darker moments the LEDs carry the shot.
- Put next year’s date in the announcement. The PA read during the finale tells parents when the next clinic opens.
Our light-up poms run on rechargeable packs, so they are fine in younger hands. If you want the clinic’s front row holding light too, a few extra pairs on the same remote change color with the team.

From feeder clinic to tryout clinic
The fall clinic is where a sixth grader meets the team; the spring tryout clinic is where she learns the material for real. Mansfield ISD’s high school drill teams hold clinics every spring to prepare and teach interested candidates, and the 2027 tryouts run campus by campus in March, from March 1–4 at Timberview to March 22–25 at Lake Ridge (source: Mansfield ISD drill team). Run your feeder calendar so the two connect:
| When | What to lock in |
|---|---|
| Fall, during football season | Feeder clinic and the halftime finale with the team |
| Winter | An optional grade 6–8 session that performs at a basketball game |
| Spring | Tryout clinics for the incoming class, then tryouts |
| Summer | The new team learns the poms and the color cues at camp |
For the tryout side, see drill team tryout clinics in Texas and the full calendar in spring vs. fall clinics.
Clinic day, from check-in to the show-off
| Time | What happens | Who owns it |
|---|---|---|
| 8:00 a.m. | Check-in, shirt pickup and medical forms | Booster volunteers |
| 8:30 | Warm-up by grade group: K–5 and 6–8 | Team captains |
| 9:00 | Learn the routine in eight-counts while the team demonstrates with poms | Director and officers |
| 10:30 | Run it once on the gym floor with the lights down | Director, with one person on the remote |
| 11:30 | Show-off for parents | The whole team |
Jersey Village runs its clinic from 8 to 11:30 a.m. with a show-off at the end (source: Cy-Fair ISD: Jersey Village Gold Dusters Sparks Dance Clinic). Charge every pom the night before: each one runs 3 to 4 hours per charge, and white and rainbow drain faster, so run team colors for the show-off and save a full charge for game night.
Pairs for your team, plus spares
Order for the high school team that leads the clinic and performs every game. At our team rate of $120 a pair on 10 or more pairs:
| Group | Pairs | Cost at the team rate |
|---|---|---|
| Dance team of 14 | 16 | $1,920 |
| Drill team of 30 | 32 | $3,840 |
| Line and officers, 44 | 46 | $5,520 |
Pair counts include two spares. Each pom has LEDs built into the pom itself, not one light in the handle, full metallic streamers that work as a regular pom in daylight, and weighs 7 oz. One remote changes the whole team’s color together. For how a booster board signs off on the purchase, see booster club approval for light-up poms.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a dance clinic for kids cost?
In the examples above, $30 to $60 a dancer, with a T-shirt included and a performance with the high school team at a home game.
How much can a feeder clinic raise for a dance team?
Fifty dancers at $50 is $2,500. After about $500 in shirts and snacks, $2,000 is left, which covers 16 pairs of light-up poms at our team rate.
Do middle schoolers perform with the high school team?
In the clinics above, yes. Jersey Village’s grade 6–8 clinic dancers perform with the Gold Dusters at a home football game.
