$375 USD
For pro cheer and dance directors dressing 5 to 30 dancers for a lights-down number: our Full LED Body Harness goes over the catsuit your team already wears and lights from the choker down, every dancer on the same color. Email info@neoncowboys.com with “Team order” in the subject for team pricing.
Which pro cheer and dance teams order a body harness over a catsuit?

Directors who already put the team in catsuits for certain games and want those nights to light up. It fits four kinds of buyers:
- Pro football cheer teams planning a lights-down feature, a theme night or a cold-night game when the squad is in full-length looks anyway.
- Pro basketball and hockey dance teams with a timeout or halftime number built for a dark arena.
- College dance teams who want a pro-style feature for a home game or a showcase.
- Adult showcase and stage crews ordering a matched set for 5 to 30 dancers.
Catsuits are not new on a pro sideline. Pro football cheer squads rotate several looks through a season, and Deb Erickson, design director at The Line Up, a uniform maker for pro cheer teams, says Washington’s squad was “one of the first teams to wear the full body, cat-suit look.” The same wardrobe holds halter-and-skirt sets, crop tops with leggings, and holiday, military appreciation and breast cancer awareness uniforms (source: The Line Up). If your catsuit game is already on the calendar, the harness turns it into a lit number without a new uniform order.
What the Full LED Body Harness adds to a catsuit
The Full LED Body Harness is a full-body cage harness: glossy black PU leather straps, silver O-rings and color-changing LEDs running from the choker down. Over a catsuit, the straps draw a line of light down every dancer, and that line is what the top row and the video board see when the house lights drop.
- Color by remote. One click moves through every color, plus modes, speed and brightness.
- Sound-reactive mode. The lights move with the music, which suits a bass-heavy feature.
- Power on the hip. The power bank and the remote ride in a hip pouch.
- Full range of motion. It buckles on like a belt, with leg straps you tighten to each dancer, so lunges, kicks and arm work stay free.
Each harness is handmade for your team. Send your event date and we will tell you plainly what fits.
Catsuit color and harness light, matched

| Catsuit | Harness light | How it reads with the lights down |
|---|---|---|
| Matte black | One team color, solid | Only the light lines show, so the shape of the formation reads from the top row |
| Team color | White or a second team color | The catsuit carries the uniform under arena light; the harness takes over when it drops |
| White or silver | The team’s main color | The fabric picks up the glow around each strap |
| Long-sleeve cold-weather catsuit | A slow change between team colors | Covered for a winter game, with the light doing the work |
| Sequin or metallic | One solid color at lower brightness | The sequins catch the light, and a lower setting keeps the lines crisp on video |
Black is the base we suggest most for a first order: the straps are black too, so the harness disappears and only the light reads. Send us your catsuit color with the order and we will tell you which setting we would use.
How do you plan a catsuit number around the harness?
Build the routine on the light and the costume works for you:
- Dark open. Harnesses off, team in place, every dancer switching on together on the first count.
- One color through the opening eight-counts. A solid team color shows the formation clearly.
- The change. A color change on the big hit, rehearsed so every dancer presses on the same count.
- The feature. Sound-reactive mode for the bass-heavy section.
- The finish. Back to the team color, then lights out together.
Plan the dressing time too. The harness buckles on like a belt and the leg straps tighten to each dancer. It is easy to put on but not quick, so dress before warm-up rather than in a fast change. Charge every power bank the night before, and give one captain a call-time checklist: every harness on, every pouch closed, every dancer on the same color.
Ordering for a roster of 5 to 30
| Roster | What to order | What to send us |
|---|---|---|
| 5 to 8, a featured line | A Full LED Body Harness for each featured dancer | Each dancer’s sizes, the catsuit color, the light color, the event date |
| 9 to 16, most pro and college teams | A harness for every dancer, plus one spare | Roster size, sizes, colors, every date the look performs |
| 17 to 30, a full team or a combined show | Body harnesses for the front lines; adjustable LED harnesses for a second look | Roster size, sizes, which dancers wear which piece, colors, dates |
The Full LED Body Harness is handmade for your team, so we make it to the sizes you send. For a mixed roster, our adjustable LED harness fits a 34 to 44 inch chest in one size, takes any color or pattern from its remote, and runs about 4+ hours per charge on the included rechargeable power bank. Set both pieces to the same color and the team reads as one line.

Why directors order the harness from the maker
We design and make our light-up pieces ourselves, and we dress dancers in matched sets. We’ve outfitted Beyoncé’s dancers on tour and made Beyoncé’s custom LED hand harness. For Missy Elliott we made her hat plus 20 matching dancer hats. Our pieces have been on tour with Kacey Musgraves, at Stagecoach with AEG and Live Nation, and at New York and Los Angeles Fashion Week.
For a team order, that means one maker for every harness, matched in color and fit, and a straight answer about your date. Pair the harness with the rest of the uniform your team already has; our guide to light-up accessories for pro cheerleader uniforms covers the other pieces.

Frequently asked questions
Do pro football cheer teams wear catsuits?
Some do, for certain games. Deb Erickson, design director at the uniform maker The Line Up, says Washington’s pro football cheer squad was one of the first teams to wear the full-body catsuit look, in a wardrobe that also includes halter sets, crop tops with leggings and holiday uniforms.
Can the Full LED Body Harness go over any catsuit?
It is made to go over a catsuit, bodysuit or unitard. It buckles on like a belt, with leg straps you tighten to each dancer. Send each dancer’s sizes with the order.
What color catsuit works best under a body harness?
Matte black. The straps are black too, so with the lights down only the LED lines show. Team-color, white and metallic catsuits work as well; tell us yours and we will suggest a light setting.
Can the whole team be on the same color?
Yes. Every harness changes color by remote, so set the whole line to one color before you go on and rehearse any color change on a count.
Are the straps real leather?
No. The straps are glossy black PU leather, a vegan leather, with silver O-rings.
How do we get team pricing for catsuit harnesses?
Email info@neoncowboys.com with “Team order” in the subject, plus your roster size, sizes, colors and event date. Each harness is handmade for your team; send your event date and we will tell you plainly what fits.
