Global Marketing Intern

We're looking for a Global Marketing Intern to lead our marketing activities for Neon Cowboys. You'll craft the messaging and positioning for our product in the local and global market and help us build our brand as the must have party fashion brand that brightens consumer's lives & experiences.

You are a lover of all things digital, know the media landscape like the back of your hand, and are up to speed on who the newest and coolest tastemakers are in the fashion and lifestyle space. Before the internship is over, you will have worked on several Neon Cowboys initiatives, events, and projects and will walk away with some serious skills on all things communications.


  • Partner on scalable initiatives that increase awareness and comprehension of Neon Cowboys

  • Ensure brand messages are consistent across all channels and platforms

  • Track, understand, and communicate market trends and insights

  • Ability to advise partners on best practices and areas of opportunity

  • Implement our PR strategy together with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operation Officer

  • Lead our communication on social media and web channels

  • Press tracking and organization of press reports and recaps

  • Media outreach and coordination

  • Assist in drafting weekly newsletters

  • Contributing to pitch and partnership ideas

  • Building and researching new media contacts and lists

Public Relations responsibilities

  • Media relations, including drafting pitches, outreach and list coordination

  • Research and maintain a master calendar of on-going awards, conferences and applicable events

  • Event support, including building guest lists and working on-site

  • Assist in building communications collateral, such as one-sheets and media briefing documents

  • Partner with analytics and research to validate insights with data and qualitative research

  • Partner with product operations to localize product and to ensure key flows are functional and high quality

  • Work with product, engineering, design, marketing, and in-country teams to build new solutions

  • Building emails and newsletters using Mailchimp and our custom CMS (editing/coding copy in HTML)

  • Working with our executive team to upload content

  • Editing and fact-checking copy in layout

  • Resizing photos/images for newsletter

  • Working with our executive team to understand/predict reader engagement

  • Researching email performance and reporting statistics


  • Must have strong knowledge of Photoshop and HTML

  • Must have a minimum of two years of experience working at an online media company

  • Strong communications skills

  • Must be highly organized/detail-oriented

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Monitor, analyze, identify, and surface delivery and performance optimizations for brand-based and performance-based marketing

  • Proactively communicate with stakeholders during all phases of a campaign’s lifecycle

  • Leverage data to tell a story that inspires action

  • Lead projects that enhance and automate our processes

  • You are available a minimum of 3 full days per week

  • You have had previous PR and media relations experience at a minimum of two extracurricular jobs or internships

  • You are in your third or final year in a four-year undergraduate program, or out of school (required)

  • You are able to attend events that take place outside of regular work hours (where applicable)

  • You are a proactive problem-solver -- you can Google with the best of them and aren't afraid to dig a little for an answer or solution

  • You are self-motivated & communicative

  • You are able to work independently when necessary and troubleshoot any issues that arise, but not afraid to reach out when you need more guidance or clarity

  • You are a strong writer and enjoy inventing story ideas

  • Ability to play a client-facing role and represent Neon Cowboys in a professional manner
